First Buses – University Freshers’ Fair Student Data Capture Campaign

When tasked with capturing 5,000 data sets from new students, Link were tasked with creating, staffing, touring and activating freshers’ fairs event areas across the north of England to sign up students for their ongoing e-marketing.

  • To encourage students to travel using First Buses, by capturing contact data and educating them on bus travel.
  • Students were encouraged to enter a competition for the chance to win a £3,000 cash prize and iPad mini.
  • The tour visited eight universities across Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield, giving First Buses great exposure.
  • The team generated over 40,000 face to face interactions and captured 12,000 new contacts from the tour.
